It's June 1960. Nowegian State Railways steam locomotive class 21b, no 373 pulls into Grimstad with a freight train. On the docks in Grimstad a ship awaits the last six carloads of iron ore so it can leave for Germany. A BM87 railcar with the small egg-like baggagecar type Gx is waiting for the 21b to clear the tracks so it can leave for Rise, where the Grimstad-line meets the line from Arendal. Grimstad is a sleepy little small town on the south coast of Norway with a railway that serves the community with freight and passenger services.

This page is dedicated to my interpretation of how the line looked in real life only with a few adjustments to add to the operational interest. I hope you will join me in my quest to capture a typical norwegian short line in the beginning of the 60's.

27.2.2008 Big things happening!
First of all: I have torn down my old Fremo-sections that together made up Grimstad station, and have started from scratch again! Secondly; I have been experimenting with a new web-page. This is quite similar to this one, but is in blog-format so it's a lot easier and quicker for me to update. And now everyone can comment on each post I make. I love feedback from my "regular readers", so please take a look at : grimstadline.blogspot.com, and tell me what you think of my new endeavours :)
