Hi there! My name is Tore Hjellset and i am 33 years old. I am a local to the area I try to model. I live in Arendal and work in Grimstad.

I have a daughter, Maria, who's now 12. I own and run my own company called AutoClassic which is Norways' biggest supplier of parts and accessories for the classic Mini Cooper. I also have a race-Mini Cooper which I race during the summer months. In the winter, when I'm not working on my model railroad, I like to go snowboarding.

My interest in railroading was sparked at a very early age. Not only did I grow up living about 10 meters from the railroad tracks, I also have an older brother who had a room in our basement filled with a large Märklin layout. We also lived nearby a museum railroad, Setesdalsbanen, so railroads have always been a part of my life. In my younger years I concentrated all my modeleling efforts in N-scale, but switched to H0 scale some 16 years ago. I have been a very active 'armchair modeller' for a lot of years, but started building the Grimstad modules in 2000, and have worked on those since then. Yes, I am a very slow modeller...
